Expo Milano 2015
The first World EXPO was held in 1851 in London and was such a success that other countries began to organize events such as the Paris Expo in 1889, for which was designed and built the Eiffel Tower. In 1928, it was created by the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE, Bureau International des Expositions), which is the primary registration authority of the world exhibition. Universal Expositions are held every 5 years, and last for at least 6 months.
World exhibition EXPO 2015 will be held in Milan from May 1 to October 31. This is the decision of the BIE. The largest industrial center of Italy received 86 votes and beat the Turkish city Izmir.
The slogan of the exhibition is "Feeding the planet, energy for life". The original emblem of Expo Milano 2015 contained famous drawing - the Vitruvian man of Leonardo da Vinci, the symbol of harmony of the human body, and of the whole world. Leonardo da Vinci spent most of his life in Milan, conducting methodological research in the field of the human body and leaving behind him an inexhaustible source for artists and engineers.
